Why FLEX?

  • This was born out of a desire to offer health care 24/7 not just during working hours.
  • Dr M Ndlovu is a pastor who travels a lot and wanted to ensure that even in his absence patients are cared for.

Why New Lobengula?

  • The idea is taking health care to where the majority of people live.
  • Providing a world class service is not necessarily about location.
  • Having a one stop facility where people are, will reduce the inconvenience of traveling across town looking for healthcare services.

The Name FLEX

  • FLEX is an acronym
  • It stands for Full Life Expectancy
  • It's taken from John 10:10
  • It's about give full life as God intended

When did the work begin?

  • Open space identified in September 2014
  • Situated in New Lobengula along Masiyephambili Road
  • Soils were sampled by engineers - R. Kwenda for suitability of the project
  • The site had been earmarked for a school but was abandoned due to the special soils as they needed special foundations.
